On Saturday, August 4th, 2018 the City of Palm Bay held a ceremonial "opening" of the city's first Cold Night Shelter. Thanks to generous donations and a community driven effort, when the weather drops below 45 degrees residents from the city's homeless population will be able to seek shelter at Mosaic Church in Palm Bay.
This effort was lead by Mr. Thomas Rebman and all proceeds to fund the shelter were raised through donations. Numerous community sponsors also contributed to the effort, including the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Palm Bay Rotary, the Brevard Homeless Coalition, Volunteers of America, and Community of Hope.
